• This board is made and ready to ship. The board pictured is the one you will receive. It is made from locally sourced hard maple, American black walnut, and American cherry. End-grain cutting boards are considered the gold standard for the longevity of your knives. Our boards are sanded to 400 grit and then finished with a food-safe cutting board oil and Mr. & Mrs. Woodshop’s Board Butter (a combination of organic beeswax and mineral oil) to properly moisturize the wood and create a wonderfully smooth feel. There are no dies or stains to create this unique, elegant pattern. All of our 1.5” cutting boards and chopping boards feature handholds to make transporting and flipping the board easier.

• The chopping board includes Mr. & Mrs. Woodshop’s Signature Juice Groove and juice pool. This unique juice groove has a gradual taper to aide in the flow to the 2.5”x2.5”x0.375” juice pool.

• There have been numerous studies documenting the safety of wood cutting boards and chopping blocks and their resistance to bacteria growth. Scientists at the University of Wisconsin found that 99.9% of bacteria (E. Coli, Salmonella and Listeria) placed on a wooden chopping boards had died out completely within minutes. This is due to the wood fibers being able to “heal” themselves trapping the bacteria and killing off the bacteria. We take your safety a step farther though. All of our boards receive 2 layers of additional protection by using a Food Grade Mineral Oil and Mr. and Mrs. Woodshop’s handcrafted Board Butter.
