A rift on the classic tartan plaid pattern that differs from a simple checkered pattern end grain cutting boards while still exemplifying a classic look. It is made of hard maple, American black walnut, and cherry end grain accompanied by strips of purpleheart, creating the ideal cutting surface for your knives. The cutting board also features inset hand holds on the sides to make it easy to move around your kitchen as needed while also allowing you to cut on either side of the board.

Quality
This board is made and ready to ship. The board pictured is the one you will receive. It is made from hard maple, American black walnut, and cherry endgrain accompanied by strips of purpleheart. End grain cutting boards are considered the gold standard for the longevity of your knives. Our boards are sanded to 400 grit and then finished with a food safe cutting board oil and Mr. & Mrs. Woodshop’s Board Butter (a combination of organic beeswax and mineral oil) to properly moisturize the wood and create a wonderfully smooth feel. There are no dies or stains to create this elegant pattern. Each color is naturally occurring to each species of wood used.
The butcher’s board includes Mr. & Mrs. Woodshop’s featured juice groove and juice pool. This unique juice groove has a gradual taper to aide in the flow to the 2.5”x2.5”x0.25” juice pool.
You also have the option to add a matching steak board so you leave your mess behind and still present with elegance, The steak board also includes a 0.25” deep juice groove for any additional liquids that may accumulate.
